When we started this project, it was fun to break away from our “event” headspace and dive into storyboarding, writing, and film production. We were very fortunate to have a talented cast: Robyn Slade, Tobias Hughes, and Selah Mohr (the absolutely adorable girl in the park). We have some behind the scenes footage of that recording session here. This was our first time using the Canon 60D (we purchased it the first day of filming – thanks to Don’s Photo) as well as the Philip Bloom Signature Series Pocket Dolly from Kessler Crane. As part of Still Motion‘s Short Film challenge, we entered this under the theme “Restless”.

Thanks to Brent McCrea for lending his time, talent and studio to record the original soundtrack to this film – it really enhanced the story even more. This is the soundtrack we came up with in one evening session.

  • That was unbelievably brilliant and beautiful. I keep thinking “okay, no way they could get any better” and then BAM you come out with this. Jaw-dropping, d***-hardening, mind-blowing stuff.

Great video, and now a great track too. Love the ambience. You guys are turning into a true indie film company. Now all you need are jackets and ballcaps with your names on them. ;)

  • Conceptually, aesthetically solid piece. I’m very impressed. Are you guys hiring? Need an intern? Haha!

  • Could you please do a video review of the Philip Bloom Signature Series Pocket Dolly? I know thousands of people would KILL to see that!

  • Hey Alex, We posted an in-depth review on our blog, just below this very post – have a look :)

  • Thanks for the compliments Tim, Nev & Kayla! We’ll give you a shout if we need a hand sometime :)

  • Jim
